Evan Landman is a jazz guitarist who takes inspiration from mid-century legends Grant Green, Barney Kessel and Kenny Burrell, whose recordings helped to define the vinyl sound of 1990s hip hop and electronic production. He seeks to recreate in his playing the feeling of coming across a beguiling jazz guitar sample on a dusty dollar bin record for the first time.
