The Do-Rights is a recently formed quartet of musicians who love to play classic jazz tunes for cocktail hour.
Evan Landman is a jazz guitarist who takes inspiration from mid-century legends Grant Green, Barney Kessel and Kenny Burrell, whose recordings helped to define the vinyl sound of 1990s hip hop and electronic production. He seeks to recreate in his playing the feeling of coming across a beguiling jazz guitar sample on a dusty dollar bin record for the first time.
Jesse Richter began their career playing punk, rock, alternative country, and jam band styles before moving to Portland, where they became a sought-after indie rock collaborator and pedal steel player. While studying jazz and big band music in college, they discovered a deep passion for Django Reinhardt and swing, ultimately dedicating their career to blending these influences into a unique and dynamic musical style.
